Title: Power consumption

How much current does the Preen draw? Would battery power be an option?

Hi Paul,

The Preen has not be design to be low power.
Specially the resistor choices around the AmpOp.
And to be honnest i've never tried to use with a battery.

As there's no 5V regulator you would have to use a 5V battery (3*1.5 may work).
Or an external battery with a USB out ? Does that exist ?

There's lots of battery packs designed for recharging mobile phones that may work.

Indeed. They have the advantage of being able to charge or power numerous things, unlike a second phone battery in your pocket.
