Title: external filter
Post by: matrix12x on April 25, 2019, 04:46:24 AM
Is it possible to send a control voltage from the preen FM2 to another device like a filter? and store that value in the patch?

Would it require adding extra circuitry?

I was thinking it would be cool to add on an external analog filter, like maybe a comb filter or something, that I could sweep.

Hi,
No there's no CV out from the preenfm2. Neither anything close to it.
It would require a different mapping of the CPU pins in the main PCB and in the preenF405 so that we can use a internal DAC or maybe a PWM with Low pass filter.

You could use midi controller for that with ease. But saving part is tricky. You could save midi CC parameter for example.

I thought about doing this as a option.
