Title: [SOLVED]Mass storage is not working.

Hi all,
I am a happy owner of the preenfm2 since December 2019 (vandaal kit) and I built it following the steps in the published guide. The device works fine but I haven't had much time lately to test it. I have seen that there is a new firmware 2.12 (I have 2.10) and I have tried to update it but my preenfm2 is not detected as a mass storage device in Windows 10. I have enabled USB MIDI: IN / OUT in the preenfm2 and access the bootloader and I press "Eng: USB access" -> Access USB Stick nothing happens in the operating system and the mass storage does not appear. If I connect the preenfm2 normally, the operating system detects it as PreenFM mk2.

I have read other threads related to USB problems but have not found a case similar to mine. I don't know what I could check to see if it's a hardware or software problem.

Could someone give me a hand ?

Hi,

Have you tried several times "Eng: USB access" should be enough.
Sometimes it takes a little time to show up on your computer.
Have you tried on an other computer ?

If it realy does not work, you can still take out the usb stick and put it directly in your computer.

I have tried several times "Eng: USB access" on pc and mac without success. The usb provided by vaandal reads perfectly on both systems but is not detected as mass storage when inserted into the preenfm2. I am testing other storage units and will comment on the results. In addition I have ordered another Sandisk Cruzer Blade usb drive like the one seen in the build of the device.

Hello,
I have tested the sandisk cruzer usb drive and it works fine. So the problem was the usb drive. I have also tried other generic units without success.

For my part the problem is solved.

What size (GB) did you get?
