Supposedly.  It is smoke after all.  Maybe if you use a whole lot of it...  like smoking a whole solder wick cigarette.  I wouldn't worry at all if you have a fan.  :)

Perfect.  Full of lead.  Flux center.  .031 is a good diameter. (smaller and you have to push a lot more onto the pads.  Larger and it's hard to reach the pads.)  Lots of it on the spool.  Be sure to get a good small fan near by... or at least blow really hard on the iron.  :)

If you are getting 3.3 volts at pin 1 and not 2.5 volts at the correct points then the odds are your cerb40 either does not have the preenfm firmware installed or it is in the DFU / Firmware update mode.  This matches with your blank screen.  Jumper 3 does look like it is 'bridged' which would cause the DFU mode - I'd triple check that one :) .  Also, pins 6 and 7 on the cerb40 look like they might? be bridged which may or may not have any effect...

 :)  A wave folder, instead of clipping the wave at a limit, folds it back on its self.  The one I wrote amplifies around zero and folds back at -1, 1 and 0. So the positive and negative parts stay on their respective sides.  Fun for simpler patches...

The idea was to add Free Env 2 as an oscillator source for an easy way to get a triangle wave.  The oscillator starts and ends at -1.  The total length of the wave is 2.56 and the sample array is 1024.  If the 3 stages are less than 2.56 then a flat top is added.  If the stages are over 2.56 then stages get chopped.

While I was at it, I also added Free Env 1.  The envelope is positive and rotated 180 degrees for the negative half.  I added the 2 step sequences as oscillators.  At 128 samples they are pretty lofi.  I'm not sure how useful they are but they are there.  :)

Lastly, I added a wave folder to the FX section.  Probably, only useful in mono sounds.

As the envelope / step seq stages are only set by the encoders except the 'silence', I thought this would be a cool way to get a changeable triangle type oscillator.  Though, I might try to add Free Env 2 attack and decay destinations to see if I really can break something. :)

Thanks.  I got the 'aliasing' type sound without any hacks.  I re-downloaded your code to be certain.   
The hacks create oscillators out of the step sequencers and envelope 8 which could easily create havoc.  I get clean sine waves with the hacks and 4.7.  :)

Well, 4.8 had the same issue and created bin files at 300kB.  But, 4.7 has a clean sounding sine wave.  I used the last release which created a slightly larger file... https://launchpad.net/gcc-arm-embedded/4.7/4.7-2013-q3-update   Which version are you using?

Spoke too soon.  :(  After first thinking my hacking damaged the firmware, I realized, that when I compile both the pfm and pfmo firmware on the latest gnu tools, I get a nasty high-frequency distortion on the waveforms.  It's only really very evident on the sine wave.  I'm going to try an older gnu tools version...

You're welcome.  ;D

Windows setup was very easy with the gcc-arm-embedded executable.  (Especially, after setting up the Shruthi environment.)  I had the other stuff already installed.

The compile worked fine with a number of warnings for the USB host code.  The recompiled code is slightly smaller than the downloadable p2_106o.bin file. (probably due to the new compiler version?)  Everything seems good on my initial tests.  Now off to break it!  :)

Oh.  Wow.  Everything!  So, you are saying I could tune a keyboard backwards?  Sounds like a great excuse for a practical joke!  ;D
  I guess if you are tuning by 5ths, not octaves,  you would need to tune each key or have a '5ths Editor'

The same on my Korg X3... Each key has a 'cents' adjustment.  I guess unused keys could be duplicates.
