Just wanted to add...
Say for instance you want full velocity on 4 modulation indexes from an initialised state, it takes 15 seconds of RAPID knob turning to make the value go from 0 to 16 x4 is over 1 minute to just adjust velocity on the modulation indexes!

I love the Preen but got damn its painful to edit, we need help Xavier!
Has anyone programmed any midi controllers to fully edit the Preen?
All my controllers only do CC's so I can only semi-edit the Preen.
Maybe a doepfer drehbank, anyone program up a map for that?

Soz for necroposting. But it could be interesting task to program my novation zero sl mk2 since it can handle сс's, nrpn's and sysex. Did 3 pages tx81z template for it years ago.

You can use txt userwave feature in PFM2 btw. Actually i made some tx81z'alike waves with renoise sample to txt tool wich i generated with other renoise tool and they sounded pretty close to tx81z waves.
usr1.txt is tx waveform7
usr2.txt is tx wf 5
usr4.txt is tx wf 8

Hello!

This 2XLP by me features a lot of PreenFM2. Also that '4 layers of PreenFM2' track ended up here and the last one is PreenFM2-only too.

It also features some retro UX/UI design by me

Cheers!

Wow! I'm so glad to see you here, Dave! Was trying to find time to grasp this http://noyzelab.blogspot.ru/2016/04/farey-sequence-tables-for-fm-synthesis.html
in PreenFM2 context some time ago. But now you are here personally and with this tool. Dope.
Thanks!

Btw, one more amazing detail:
i made my microtuning feature request topic right after reading RDJ Syrobonkers interview by Dave Noyze (now offline but could be googled i guess)

Richard D. James mentions Preen FM in microtonal context

From comments on his soundcloud page:
"I’ve also got other bods to include it on numerous other devices, ill make a complete list at some point but others include Preen fm Tal sampler...etc etc.."

"Ive been quietly working behind the scenes now for years to get people to implement microtuning in hardware, prob been talking to a dozen more companies, got PreenFM to do it also but cant convince the dude to put in table editing"

Amazing.

I sent some pre-recorded (with p-locks in case of Octatrack) random knob twiddlings from Octatrack.

Seems like you sent out of range values for the automation...

Seems so...
