Hello Xavier, I tried today to repeat all the process I did yesterday, trying to make it crash again and I think it have to do with the standalone editor, if you push a preset with more voices than the unit can handle at the time regarding other instruments, it crashes, but I tried again to be sure and now it does not allow to push the preset, so not really sure about it.
For now, to be save and not loose any preset again, I saved all other instruments with 0 voice, so that way, should not happen again. Will let you know if happens again.

Thanks anyway!!

Hi, I was creating some patches today and then I wanted more voices on Instrument 1, went to Instrument 2 to low the voices and the unit crashed showing that screen (link below), I was not able to do anything till I take out the usb and plug it again, I know my laptop does not have a good voltage on the usb but I want to know if could be somthing else hapening, because I never had this problem before and it is more than a year I have my Preenfm2 working.

newbie helping newbie  ;D hope is just that and you can start enjoying that preen, in any case I followed the build instructions step by step and had no problems, already build three units. If it does not work check the building instructions again and try to find any thing you could have missed and check that every diode and cap is in the right position regardind positive and negative.

Good luck!!

But you need to close those headers with a small piece that should be on the packaging making connection between the 2 pins, that you soldered them it does not mean they are closed.

As far as I know, Jumper 1 and 2 should be closed, but it might be another problem, no expert in here.

Thank you so much Xavier, I did not see that there was the option :P

I am currently working on it, but when done will upload the Bank I am creating, is there a place where to share it? or just post it here on the forum.

Merci!!

Yes, you can create a new bank and make your own patches from scratch, my question was about making the Initial preset "Preen mk2" clean of IM, Modulations and envelopes as I allways find myself setting everything to have it clean. I find that in one of the Banks there is already a "BLANK" preset, exactly like I would like to have it, but don't know if it's possible to set it as Initial.

Sorry if I am not explaining myself clear, I am not english native  :P

Hi, first I must say thanks to Xavier for creating this great synth, I would probably never get into FM without it.

My question is if it would be possible to modify the inital preset, as I would like to have as simple as possible to start allways from zero without any modulation or envelope.

Thanks!

It's a bit weird but without changing anything, just the place where "bootloader" folder was I managed to install the bootloader, the most weird is that I had allready checked that before and did not work but all is good, now I have a working PreenFM unit  :)

Thanks!!!

Hi, I have just build the preen and I am trying to flash the cerb40 with no succes, I try to follow the steps but I am totally lost.

I am using Macbook with Mavericks, and I had downloaded and installed dfu util with brews, now when I plug the preen with the jump3 conected and run the bootloader command it says that

Last login: Sun Dec 27 12:42:15 on ttys001
MacBook-Pro-de-pau:~ pau$ /Users/pau/Desktop/bootloader/install_bootloader.cmd ; exit;
dfu-util 0.8

dfu-util: Could not open file p2_boot_1.11.bin for reading: No such file or directory
logout

[Proceso completado]

I also tried to take out the cerb40 and plug it directly to the computer with mini usb but same message, what am I doing wrong?

I soldered the mini-usb according this http://i.imgur.com/RqPxH1ih.jpg is that right?

As said before if I disconnect jump3 the leds are working so I suppose I did no mistake with the soldering.

Hope someone can help me out!!

Cheers!!
