That's exactly what they showed me, but in bitmap form.

I can only assume there's some attribute set in the SVG which usually gets ignored but isn't on their system?

Since you've had the non OLED version made it must be the same quirk in both files.

They've said the file is fine now.

The only export option I changed was "Rasterize filter effects", I unchecked that.

I've had no complaints from them about the price, it is about £20 shipped. I've gone for a single colour case.

They sent me a picture of the file once loaded into their system.

I've exported the SVG as EPS with Inkscape, so maybe it will be okay now? I had to change some option though as it was converting bits of it to bitmap.

It all went quiet after then, so I can hope that it's okay. I'll find out tomorrow. Never had issues before.

I've seen an example of the problem, the MIDI socket holes go a bit pear shaped.

I've sent them an EPS version I exported from Inkscape which looked better, fingers crossed.

Center pin is positive in nearly every device these days (Preen included).

There is a protection diode to prevent damage if you get it wrong.

Since it's using a linear regulator, the excess power is emitted as heat. So it will run cooler if you are just above the minimum required voltage. Given it is a 7805 it needs 7v minimum.

I've just had a message from RazorLab where I was getting my Preen case made. Not sure what they're on about?

"I have noticed that your svg file still has the weird shape instead of the proper circle and two holes. I was wondering if you could send me the eps version of your latest order so I can cut it without the anomaly like last time."

I don't know if they mean the last time I had a Preen case done or if someone else has had one made their before?

Yeah, those big cannister things on the cable. They should filter out any noise.

You have to stick a jumper on JMP3 and power up the preen, then use dfu-util.

dfu-util -a0 -d 0×0483:0xdf11 -D p2_boot_1.10.bin -R -s 0×8000000

You're getting noise when using USB MIDI? are you using a USB cable with RF suppressors?

URL for getting an old USB memory stick?

Ebay would seem to be the only choice. But I can't see any that say USB 1.x, I guess buying one that's 64mb or so might work?

Thanks :) I don't have a case for my Preen yet but I'm getting one made. So I've not used it extensively yet, I will try that when I do.

It's a concept I recently noticed the Novation Bass station has, although that was after I made my post here.

Hold a key when turning on the Preen to go into the booloader, then there's an option to mount the USB stick.

Is there any pattern to the problem?

Filesystem or partition table perhaps?

Thanks, I have that ebook. I wondered if there was any others or tips from people on here?

My technique is to just take an existing sound and flip through the algorithms until I find something interesting, then tweak.

Another thing I think is useful (feel free to disagree) is an easy way to save. Many synths of old had a write button.

What I think is useful is if you can write to a temp patch that is always the initial state of the device. So you edit a sound, press save then don't need to tell the device where and what name. It just gets stored, then if you turn off the device and go do something else, when you switch it on next you can continue where you were before?

It's like your desktop, then you can file it away later on.

What's a good book or guide to programming FM sounds?
