preenfm2 and preenfm3 / Adapter/USB power
« on: May 01, 2014, 10:53:44 PM »
Maybe a stupid question...?
But...

Will using the USB connector and powering it from a wall wart adapter WITH the jumper installed damage the PreenFM2?

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / Panning, Volume and some other things
« on: December 30, 2013, 11:33:15 PM »
After some hours of fiddling i have some questions about a few things...

By the way i'm on (beta) firmware 0.9mo

1. Panning .. The panning doesn't seem to go hard left and hard right but only a little bit left and right. Is this by design?

2. The volume pot controls the volume digitally. But the pot is linear and so is the volume software volume control. Shouldn't there be a log curve in this.

3. When the volume is very soft you can clearly hear but reduction effects... And i love it!!! can we have a bit cruncher effect in there? Would be great if it could be set per operator.

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / New Preen Build from PCB
« on: December 30, 2013, 07:37:39 PM »
Finished my PreenFM2 yesterday ... first it didn't start but that was due to a bad usb drive.

I decided this is the last time i bought a display from buy display... The prices and the choice is really nice but they just don't look very good.

I made the case myself at the local fablab from a piece of plexi i still had. Don't know if i like the color though.
If somebody really likes it i can make another case like this.

thanks Xavier nice work. I love algorithm 27 :)

I'll have to dive in now...

PreenFM1 (the blue one) / PreenFM case for free
« on: April 26, 2013, 12:30:58 PM »
I have this lasercut case made from plexi and wood. I build myself a new case so i don't need this anymore. I also have some black plexi parts so you can make a weird compi of wood clear and black plexi.
You can have it for free+shipping cost from the Netherlands... contact me dennisvantilburg (at) g m a i l DOT c o m

PreenFM1 (the blue one) / Build a PreenFM from PCB with chinese maple clone
« on: November 18, 2012, 12:09:37 AM »
So i build the PreenFm from bare PCB with self sourcing and everything is working. At first there was a problem with lots of noise and soft audio but it turned out it was the display shorting something on the PCB... Getting the chinese clone in was a bit tough because it is a difrent size then the normal maple...
I made a case with a lasercutter for free at the FABLAB in Utrecht.
I'll post some pictures when i get a hold of some M2 bolts...
