PreenFM2 / Re: preenfm2 editor 2.11.3 - standalone/vst2/vst3/Audio unit
« Last post by imaginarion on January 29, 2020, 09:53:59 PM »
I solved my problem :)
Steps:
1. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010
2. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019
3. Update Ableton to last version
4. Reboot
// I use custom directories. For this case - swith off "use custom plig-in folder" for vst2 & vst3, swith on.

Regards
Pavel

brilliant, thanks, there's probably room for both there in that case, perfect!

PreenFM2 / Adding Power & USB switches to metal case?
« Last post by the_duckchild on January 27, 2020, 12:13:33 PM »
Hi,

Just finished building my Preen FM2 (did my absolute best to mess up the build by using my own IC socket which only had space for turned pins because I am an idiot, but managed to recover that!)

I'm thinking of adding a switch for the USB power jumper, because in my main studio set up anything on USB power seems to be involved in a hideous ground loop that I am struggling to overcome, but it would be great to power it via USB when working with my laptop elsewhere.

While I am at it, I guess I might as well add a power switch if there's space, which leads me to my question:

Has anyone added such switches to a metal case and if so, where did you find the best space to do so? It's quite hard to visualise from outside the case....

I actually found this works on Mac ... I think the MIDIbus stuff was fixed in the intervening years. Cool little tool, it takes a little time to understand how to use it -- basically, you can set the Farey sequence ratios in two sets of 2OP and then there are three ranges you can send them to the Preen, since it only can go up to multiples of 16. Then you can load other patches and then apply the Farey seq ratios to the patch's envelopes and modulation. Pretty neat.

Revive! This seems like a really interesting tool ... did anyone ever get it working on Mac?

Awesome! I'm on Mac but am very much looking forward to trying this out.
