Back in stock!
« on: August 27, 2012, 06:51:24 PM »
I just ordered my first PreenFM!  Went for the new "Crystal" version, looking forward to building and hearing this.  Should go well with my two (so far) Shruthis.  Ambika is next.

It's one of my favourite synths. It makes sounds no other virtual or real analog can.

Xavier, you should do a Preen voice card for the Ambika!  Probably easier to say than to do I'm sure.

It wouldn't be hard from a software point of view, but the Maple Mini is rather large and tall and it would probably need a change to use a proper DAC to save space? One small chip rather than a few?

Adding to the mainboard code all what is needed to control the PreenFM engine ?
I'm not sure it will fit in the 64Kb of the ATMega644p which i imagine is already almost full....  ;)
If not "hard", that's a lot of work...

Well the Preen engine would run on the Maple Mini, but I see what you mean. You need to add all of the editing facilities to the software in the main ATMega and rework the UI to suit the display shape.

The biggest problem is if there's room in the ATMega for all that.
