Hi,

Have you tried Funkyfli bank ?
http://ixox.fr/forum/index.php?topic=63461.0
It's included in the preenfm2 zip file so you already may have it on your usb stick.

It contains many very good bass.
That could be a good start to build your own.

You can't do exact tx81z lately bass here, since pfm2 doesn't have Waveform5 of tx81z (but you can get  custom one here: http://ixox.fr/forum/index.php?topic=63505.msg65694#msg65694 )
I tried to recreate Lately Bass but didn't succeed yet.

By "use a waveform", you mean it uses a waveshape other than sine? PreenFM 2 can use custom waveforms, so that isn't a problem. However, since it uses FM instead of PM it will sound a little different.

p.s. So much spam in the forum right now, I can't imagine how long it'll take to clean up. ;_;

yes so much spam, i sent a msg to xavier

yes if u check kuzma post he explained how to, here on this thread
but apart that he also added the fact that he can't recreate the lately even with the right waveform

and i was thinking that solid bass (dx100) has no custom waveform, so just wondering how the hell we can recreate the famous bass preset

i can go a bit closer if i use bitcrusher, cause i'm pretty sure the standard sound has that vibe due to bad aliasing, but i might be wrong of course, my 2 cents

Well I think that it's difficult to get there because all of the DX series use Phase Modulation instead of Frequency Modulation.

Has anyone gotten closer to matching the Lately/Solid or similar bass patches?
I'm getting my kit this week and was planning on primary using the preen for bass duties.
I'll be sure to check out the Funkyfli bank as well. Super stoked for using the PreenFM!

PreenFM2 is really good at bass
https://clyp.it/qioh2zu0

I even made a patch that sounds pretty close to LatelyBass spectra-wise i need to tweak envelopes more to make it sound similar

all tracks are from the preenfm2?  wow thats nice man!  try sequencing the lfo for subtle movement / nuance.  being able to do that makes the pfm2 very tweak worthy imo, and an amazing companion to a sequencer like zaquencer that can write cc values to steps.

Heh! No, pfm2 plays only bass in this one (rest are lxr on drums and tx81z).
