schematic screenshot or pdf?
« on: May 04, 2019, 03:56:31 PM »
Hey All, n00b here. Built my PreenFM and it doesn't power on. I am in a beginner's electronic class, teacher said bring the schematic so we can test everything. I think he wants to use it as a teachable moment how to follow and test a circuit.

I read other posts that the schematic was made in Kicad3. I downloaded Kicad5 and can download Kicad4 from the previous releases section, but I can't find anything on Kicad3 or its libraries anywhere on the internet. Also seems like there were pretty big leaps on how the library is handled between 3 and 4, and then 4 and 5, so making a Kicad3 files work in Kicad5 might be a big pain.

I attached a screenshot of what I'm getting in Kicad 5. Assuming this won't suffice for my teacher? Can anyone grab a quick screenshot of what it looks like in 3?

Hi,

I just added a pdf file in the git repository that was missing for a long time.
https://github.com/Ixox/preenfm2/blob/master/hardware/PCB_R5d/PreenFM.pdf

If you want help from this forum, you should post a detailed picture of your PCB both side, as weel as a clear descritpion of what you're doing and what does not work.

And from the FAQ :

TroubleShooting / It does not work
You can start by reading this thread :
http://ixox.fr/forum/index.php?topic=63509.0
And verify the different points shown of message #6.
