Hi

My preenfm2 R6 is quiet, I really notice this when using headphones. Is this normal?

Cheers

Do you use the regular audio jack for your headphones ?
What PCB version do you have ?

Please read that and let me know if that helps.

Hi Xavier

Is the preenfm2 (latest board R6)

I’m using a Jack to headphone adapter see attached picture.

If I set the other 3 instruments to 0 voices this is as loud as it gets. If I set them to 3 each it gets quieter which what I would expect?

The loudest I get it is one instrument set to one voice but then it still not as loud as say my volca fm or craft synth both running off batteries.

These are no headphone jacks on the PreenFM but line level jacks. Without amplification they will be quiet.

Yes thats normal. DAC doesnt have enough power to drive headphones. Its ment only for 10k line levels. Your headphones are low resistance and are pulling down the level.
