The Preenano-Accident...
« on: December 20, 2020, 08:29:31 PM »
Today I started creating a "phosphor"-Patch for my all-electronic(a) "elements"-bank. This didn't work out. It does not sound chemical... :P

Well, the setup is quite complex. So, just sharing the settings for the operators is most probably not that good...

WOW, sounds good! :o :o :o :oCould you give us a patch?

As I do not know how (or if) I can export a single patch and as I planned to release that bank when ready... here is a copy of my current WIP-bank. All of the sounds exclusively created on and for the PreenFM. No converted DX-xyz stuff. The first 16 patches were planned to be usable for some electronic "sequencer"-stuff. The next 16 (or so) shall be all sorts of bass sounds, maybe... still needs to be decided...

have fun with the patches -- but please keep them local to this forum for now (until the bank is completed). As said, this is WIP and so there will be lots of new patches and some patches may change until release...

best,
Stefan

I have to make a newer ZIP file file the pfm3 SD card.
Let me know when your bank is ready so that it's included inside if you're OK with that.

I don't have any objections, Xavier. I will give you a hint, when it's ready to go...

best,
Stefan

OK... updated the bank a little bit...

Prg Nr. 0...15
Should be useful for "sequencer"-stuff... in the (very low) discant maybe for some ambient-fx?

Prg Nr. 16...29
This should be useful for bass-sounds (and maybe some of the sounds may be useful for sequencer-sounds, too... but mainly they are intended for the lower end)...

I also updated the "Preen(i)ano" accident, so it is more playable and sounds more like a piano in the upper range.

Have fun!

Stefan

PS: No,... the bank is still not complete... I would have done two more bass-sounds but lost inspiration for today... (and you should stop in that case... ;-P). On the long run there will be pad-sounds and slowly evolving ambient-textures in the upper program-numbers. Maybe one or the other lead and/or FX-sound, too...

OK, folks...

this is how far it can get before Christmas. I most likely will add some more patches to the bank after new-years eve...

BTW: Most of the patches have pitch- and modulation-wheel connected. Tip: use it...  ;)

As already stated before this was all done from scratch using the PreenFM-Editor. No patches of obscure origin used, so no trouble with big Y's (or anyone else's) copyrights. For the license-thing: These patches are intended to get you experimenting. So, feel free to do whatever you want to do with them. Consider your derivative work "yours".

If you however happen to make music with the unaltered patches, I dare to ask you to kindly mention the preen and the patch used (and were to get it).

all the best and stay healthy!
Stefan

PS: Xavier, I would consider this bank "delivery-ready" (if you can live with the likely possibility of later editions..."...

PPS: Everyone, tell me how you like Palladium (and maybe the other "stuff"), please...  ;D

hmm,... the final bank didn't get a single download, yet... maybe it's not a so good idea to include it in the image, Xavier?

None the less a small (low quality due to size restrictions) audio-test for some patches of the bank.

All audio except drums: PreenFM2+TC Flashback 2+TC Hall of fame 2
Drums: Synthesized on Korg Electribe Sampler 2 (no samples... yes, this is odd for a sampler...  :) )

Probably people are still with family. Atleast I am.
So I will run them in January :)

Great input! I am eager to hear what you did already :)

Don't feel bad when you don't get a strong reaction from posting something right before the winter holidays: Like served said, most folks are probably busy with family.
I'm looking forward to messing around with these. Thanks a ton for them!!
As my favorite studio professor would say when I was on a good path: Keep going!

A little track I made using some samples for my phone-box and some patches from the bank:
