Title: FM operator MIDI out and Octatrack sequencing

I’d like to sequence my FM3 from my octatrack by way of CC DIRECT CONNECT which requires local be turned off and the FM3 send midi data out from its sound engine. Has anyone tried this?

It would allow me to turn knobs on the FM3 and have the action recording into the octatracks midi sequencer.

Yes, I am familiar with those threads and the octatrack manual. But I can’t seem to get midi from the preen to be recognized by the octatracks midi learn functionality.

CC DIRECT CONNECT allows knob, movements made on external gear to be recorded into the midi sequencer of the Otrack. Essentially puts the octatrack in the control path of whatever device you have connected by way of midi loopback connection. Perhaps I need to use a midi monitor to see what if any nrprn’s are being sent by Preen while editing patches.
