Really exciting, loved the voice example! Hope to see some more progress on this!

If i find time one day, i'll probably support the CVIn firmware with the editor.

In meantime the full code is there  ;)

Would be an incredible addition to the editor, really miss this feature!

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / Stuck tones with the editor
« on: February 13, 2020, 04:09:35 AM »
I can hardly touch anything in the stand-alone editor (v2.11.3) without tones getting stuck. Often I can get rid of them by fiddling a lot with various variables, but not always. Very tedious. Decay or Sustain does not seem to be the issue (e.g having infinite decay somewhere could obviously get you into this territory).

Is this just how the editor is for everyone? Or is this a problem with the MIDI connection on my end somehow (I've tried USB and MIDI, i've also tried different USB cables and inputs to my PC).

Other than this issue the editor is fantastic, very easy to use. The VST editor does not work for me in Cubase, all i get is "MIDI In cannot be open".. This on a completely empty project with just the editor enabled and no other MIDI in the background.

Video of the issue with stuck tones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRCXLsxbbzA&

Edit: I read there's a way to reset the PreenFM2 (inst+menu), this is not really a solution since the stuck tones gets back directly when you start the sound again. Saving, reloading another patch and then reloading the patch i was working on can work to get rid of the really "hardcore" stuck tones.. Not really a solution either, making patches would take forever.

I'm on the CV version of the firmware btw.. so euro version of PreenFM2.

You're of course correct, there's no midi channel  ;D

Would be really cool too see these things implemented! Glad to see such creative community and developing for this machine btw.. makes me more confident to buy one. its usually the first thing i google for when i get interested in new gear; name + firmware and then i look if things are added.

Then if you select "1234" would  triggered all instruments but one after the other...
make it CV-selectable so we can choose via voltage which instrument is playing ;) it might sound messy to do, but there are modules like voltage block where you easily can select a specific voltage for something.. i use it for Disting and its sample player to select a specific sample via CV.

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / question about preenfm2 (euro version)
« on: February 03, 2020, 02:59:35 AM »
Does it remember where you left off after a power cycle? i'm guessing it does since it's multitimbral.. i thought i would ask before i purchase it because i really can't stand synths where i have to write down which patch i was using last..

I'm gonna buy the eurorack version, if that matters.

Thanks.

Ah so in unison? yes, that's of course a no-brainer... just put the same midi channel on them and it should work too..

would be interesting if it could play the 4 channels you have available in sequence instead, perhaps even randomized.  Or perhaps if the 4 available channels could be split in zones on 1 channel so you have access to all 4 patches from the 1 CV channel...

This same signal can trigger several instruments though.

How is this done? Thinking about getting the euro version.
