The new filters sound great. I've been playing for the last hour and a half.
No crashes yet.

BTW, Where did the all-pass go?

Awesome!!! I've been wanting to do an all-pass for a while. I also wanted to do a comb-filter with some distortion. I will try this out and let you know if I find any bugs.

Great work!

I thought about doing this as a option.

Is it possible to send a control voltage from the preen FM2 to another device like a filter? and store that value in the patch?

Would it require adding extra circuitry?

I was thinking it would be cool to add on an external analog filter, like maybe a comb filter or something, that I could sweep.

DX7 patches have to be in a folder named DX7.

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / Feature Request: option to change LED function
« on: November 11, 2018, 02:37:19 AM »
I was wondering if it was possible to change the LED's function from blinking with the MIDI clock to blinking with LFO 1 on Instrument 1 (or LFO2 etc)? I don't see this as an option in the current firmware. But think it would be a nice addition.

Cool. Hope it helped.

It's at least 6 or so by my really crude testing.

I'm really excited by the progress.

Yeah, Freeverb uses 4 comb filters in parallel set to different delays. and then sends that through two serial all pass filters.

Has any tried programing a reverb FX for the Preen FM2? Or would it require too much memory?

I was looking at a few algorithms and was wondering if a simple IIR Filter followed by a simple low pass filter (to make it sound less metallic) would be doable?

IIR filter: http://www.eas.uccs.edu/~mwickert/ece5655/lecture_notes/ARM/ece5655_chap7.pdf

I was thinking this may require less ram than the Freeverb that was mentioned in another thread.

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / Patches
« on: December 09, 2017, 08:22:42 PM »
Here are a couple of patches I made, trying to do various dubstep style growls. I used the Preen FM 2 editor.

On dub Growl 4 I used the Free Envelope 1 to modulate the Sample Rate of the Crush FX.
Also, I used the waveform TX45 from one of the other posts as Shape 5.

It made me wish that I could modulate the attack of the Free Envelope 1 with Velocity. I also want to look into writing a regular type distortion FX.
