Troubleshooting sudden display bug

Hello there; i was hoping someone could help me troubleshoot my suddenly appeared preenfm 2 problem. It was running fine until recently when after powering up the weirdest gibberish was showing on my display ... the leds flash when the preens powered on and it seems like navigation still works even though the display is unreadable - also, on powering up i can hear the audio activating so probably its a matter of display only. My first thought was maybe switching the firmware (current version has also worked before) might troubleshoot this but weirdly when trying to enter the bootmode pressing 1, the display stays all dark (leds keep lit though).

Has somebody experienced the same, or - maybe an idea on what this could be caused by? I'd appreciate any! hint :)

Check the soldering on the connectors. It's a common enough fault.

Yep, you should try checking the OLED connector soldering points.

Thank u very much guys, that seemed to be the problem. Resoldered it onto the board, seems to work now :)
