@Xavier
How does it (either the Preen FM2 R6 PCB or the Preen FM3) sound with the 24 bit DAC? any differences at the lower volume/lower velocity sounds? or on the decay of sounds? Just wondering.

I'm like 90% sure I can code a reverb. maybe 80% sure....

I'm also hoping there is enough CPU and ram to do a reverb/and/or delay.

I don't think so.
But it needs investigation.
I think i know how to make a delay, but i have no idea for the reverb.

Sounds like Ableton is sending program change 0 when you hit play

I always thought that click meant the oscillator does not start at a zero crossing.

Perfect! Thats exactly what I am looking for.   :D

Tinkering with some patch making tonight and am I wrong/missing something, or is there no Modwheel to LFO modulation "depth" to for example pitch of operator 1. I see there is a LFO rate modulation target.

I enjoy making pads and if I wanted to use the mod wheel to bring in a subtle pitch vibrato, how would I do it using current modulation targets?

I got some very throaty "vocal" sounds using A and D both set super short. It sounds awesome!!

Great job again.

I just uploaded it to my PreenFM2 and I really enjoyed the looping ADS. I found it works almost like another LFO.

Which version is this built on?

@Toltekradiation, just wondering was this forked off your last filter version or the latest current version from Xavier?

Also, great work again!

I updated to 2.11 Beta 1. My Algo screen looks normal.

@observer Did you notice if it is broken on all filters or just the new ones?

I am running the current version (dated Nov 25) and CC73, 71 and 72 work for me. Just checked. I used OS X Logic to send the CCs.

I really like your FM programming guide. It was an enjoyable read.

Thank you.

I could be clearer on my second sentence.

Let's assume two sin waves are at the same phase, 𝜙0, at 𝑡=0  and you change the frequency of one of them at exactly that time, for example by 1 HZ, my understanding is that the phase difference between them is a function of time and the difference between the two frequencies. 𝜓(𝑡)=𝜙1(𝑡)−𝜙2(𝑡)=2𝜋(𝑓1−𝑓2)𝑡

So, I had wanted to sort of fake PWM by overlaying two saw waves, one positive, one negative at different phases to make a pulse wave when the two waveforms are offset at like 90 degrees (a 25% pulse wave) or more. And I was thinking that using a pitch envelope to modulate the pitch of the second operator to make a pseudo PWM.

I don't think its a CPU/polyphony issue.

The PreenFM2 does FM. Operator feedback in FM changes the pitch of the sound. I recommend using other waveforms to get the sound you want. For example, when I want to simulate an operator feedback sound I use the saw waveform. It works really well for the types of sounds I'm doing. There are also some user waveforms on the forum with varying amounts of feedback.

The Yamaha DX series actually uses Phase Modulation.

However, along these lines, what might be cool would be having for example, a new algorithm, something like Algorithm 1, but have a modulation index (IM4) to allow OP1 modulate OP2.
