hi, I just finshed assembling my new SMD PreenFm2 (rev6 board)
Everything seems to work
-I soldered encoders, jacks, buttons and so on
-I flashed the Firmware at 1st time
-There's MIDI acitivty using USB (I can see numers 1234 on screen)
-I load some DXt sounds from the USB stick
but I have no output.
Volume is turned on
Am I missing something really basic maybe?
what shoud I check ?
Most of components were presoldered on this board..

You can try to hold INST and press buttons on the LEFT to play sound without midi input.
Check volume in the Eng> filter page.
Check number of voices is > 0 for the instrument you play.
Do you use a DAW ? or a midi keyboard direclty ?
Can you post a good quality picture of the back of you PCB to see if something obvious is visible.
Thanks,
Xavier

thanks Xavier, I think I solved it.
In the "Flash Bootloader" instructions (https://github.com/Ixox/preenfm2/tree/master/flash) there's a link to the pfm2_flash.dfu, which is probably still an old version of the firmware,
I solved it by downloading the latest v. 2.2.20 and now I get sounds out of it...

I had the exact same issues. No sound, everything else good.
Bootloader at 1.13 was tricky to find but is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V78jCXjTNEwF5PGBnbxMuNlm4vQqXFGk/view
Also with the latest firmware. I'm on a mac but used the chrome plugin here:
https://devanlai.github.io/webdfu/dfu-util/
Following the WebDFU instructions here: https://github.com/Ixox/preenfm2/tree/master/flash
Making sure to update the Dfuse Start address to 0x8040000 for the firmware after having updated the bootloader. All good now!
