Title: envelope delay
Post by: solipsvs on October 17, 2021, 07:26:47 AM
how nice would envelope delay be?  you can make a synth bass more groovy by delaying its influence on the carrier, or simply make a sound happen later, or even make a simple sequence.

It's already possible, set the Attk level to 0.0 and use Attk time to specify the Delay you want.
Then Decay level to 1.0.

then where does the attack portion of the envelope go?  i want to keep the percussive nature of the envelope intact but simply delay it.  ADSR without the A isnt the same as DADSR.  i mean im quite aware of the envelopes that are there now and how they work.

Each phase has a level AND time, which is more than a typical ADSR envelope.
So even if you get rid of the A to make delay you still have a regular ADSR envelope after.

EDITED : and you can even modulate the delay in the matrix (Attk target), so that you a moving delay over time.
