I also tried the blue ones, but unfortunately they are very VERY noisy.
The yellow version is silent.
Good to know, that was my other favourite :)

According to the datasheet the VFD (Noritake GU140x32f-7806) should have fit mechanically, but mine has a smaller PCB so I'll need to hotwire something.
Not sure if the logic levels work (cerb40: 3.3v?, vfd wants 3.5v min) but I'll give it a try. And if it works I'll open a new thread ;)

Looking closer at the pictures, it's pretty obvious: L2, L5... I just don't recall seeing anything in the source though :)

I saw a Shruti with a white OLED but couldn't find one in 20x4. But now that I think about it, I might have an unused VFD lying around that might be compatible.
Might use too much power though...

Just need to add leds...
Hm, LEDs? Did I miss something? :)
White PCB is cool. Are you sticking with the LCD display?

And could patrick look into the possibilities of an arp step sequencer where for instance you could program it to play user arp 1 four times then user arp 2 three times etc. (with one programmable slot above each encoder ) just an idea.
Heh, I thought briefly about being able to chain patterns but wasn't really sure where to go with it. And I didn't spontaneously have a good plan how to implement it ;)
But I'll give it some thought...

Have fun trying out the user patterns, let me know how it goes!

Nice.
I'm trying to resist upgrading while I have unbuilt other projects. Trying... ;)

Cool.
I need to spend more time using the synth and less poking around in the source code :P

Ok, great. I'll take a look at the arpeggiator...

Will do.
Are there any issues/features where you might want help? I find it easier to figure things out with a target (and I have no own goals yet)...

Cheers,

So I finally got around to finishing the kit, and it all works. Awesome, and thanks again for the quick replacement of the case panel.
It would have been working sooner but I made some totally avoidable mistakes on the way… it’s not like the instructions don’t explicitely mention not to mix up the headers ;)

Also, I got the source compiling and flashed a custom firmware that seems to work.
Still just poking around the source code but it’s a start :)

Cheers,
