Dx7 sysex data not recognised on their folder, how to correct?
« on: November 10, 2018, 07:52:35 PM »
Just got a Preenfm2. The only sound bank I can find online is the funky 2 bank, plus when I try load DX7 sysex files on the preenfm2 but they do not show up to load.I have created the correct file & loaded it onto my USB stick but preen isn't reading it. Can I create loads of files full of dx7 sysex files (tons online)& number them & access them. Please help. Could somebody break down how my files should be set up on my USB,? I've tried to follow the manual & online info but I'm too thick. Please help.

DX7 patches have to be in a folder named DX7.

At the bottom of the release page :
https://github.com/Ixox/preenfm2/releases
You have a pfm2_usb.zip that contains several banks.
And a DX7_SYS_zip that contains many DX7 sys files that the preenfm2 can read.

And yes, they must be in /pfm2/DX7 folder on the key.
