PreenFM3 performance knobs
« on: November 26, 2020, 07:16:15 PM »
As I have seen, there are only 4 perfomance knobs available in the matrix, just like on the PreenFM2.

But we now have 6 knobs, so is there a reason why? ;)

Knob 5 and 6 in the performance page is for param1 & 2 of the filter.
They're blank if no filter is selected.

I'll change that so that you always see something for those knobs.
Thanks

Now I know how it's supposed to work, thank you!

Would it be possible to add a global performance layer?
So that you could lay parameters of different voices to one side?

Can you explain what you would want to do with a example ?

You could put there parameters from different instruments on one page without switching.

So for example you could change a lfo speed from a sequence on instrument 1 while at the same time changing filter parameter from instrument 2 and turn down the volume from a pad playing on instrument 3.

I don't know if this would fit with the concept of static performance knobs.
I think I had the Ambika performance page in mind, where you are not bounded to fixed knobs, but can simply assign every instruments parameter to every knob without assigning it in the matrix before.
But that's a whole different approach as on the PreenFM.

Thanks, ok i see.
It would be in the mixer part as it's cross instrument (under global button ?).
And requires an other page to specify what parameters from what instrument to include.
The list would be huge and complicated to display properly.

Not sure it would be easier than going to the perf page and navigate though the 6 instrumnets with buttons + and -.
I was thinking about a second customizable perf page. But it's very low on my TODO list :)

Yes I see the trouble with all that parameters 😂

To keep it easy, you could add global performer to the matrix that could be controlled on a global performance page, this wouldn't be to overcomplicated in UI I think.

But of course, first things first!
