[resolved in 2.06] FW 2.05 Voice allocation instability?
« on: October 11, 2016, 11:00:51 AM »
Noticed this when messing around with 2.05:

When i have chord sequence playing by octatrack it sounds unstable. It can play full chord but rather frequently it plays only 1-2 notes of this chord randomly. Did not experienced this with previous FWs but i'm going to roll back to 2.03 (or earlier) and test it too. Micromodular plays same sequence like a clock without any skips. Had to check this with my custom Init patch on PFM2 but i rewrote it accidentally. Also when you browse preset with rather busy sequence playing PFM2 can freeze completely. Did not noticed this before too.

Yes i've also noticed some missing notes with FW2.05 a couple of days ago.
I think it has been introduced by the voice allocation change i made for the "ghost note" fix  :-\
I'll take a look.

The missing note was actually a bug introduced in 2.05. It was a stupid mistake  ::)

I spent time on an other hanging note that is obvious when setting voice to 1 glide to 0 and playing lots of notes at the same time.
I think i have the fix.

Will upload a new firmware tomorrow.
