poly glide
« on: March 23, 2020, 09:36:36 PM »
hi all,
i hope you're all well in this strange times :-\

with this extra isolation, i did play a little more with a poly glide attempt (fw attached)
i think it is now quite playable but need to be played to find bugs and improvements ;)
as a bonus, some filters are back and have been reworked
and then there is 3 new matrix destination :
G.hd : glide hold (if >0)
G.rt : glide rate
G.sk : glide skew (different glide speed for ascending or descending intervals)

(edit: file updated)

hi,
here is another version : the previous one was a bit buggy.
One of the initial goal was to play glided notes over the top of chords or bass pedal, which i could not totaly achieve with multiple gliding notes.
So I ended making a mono glide over poly, which is less sophisticated, but easier to code and play with..
+ there is two more glide values available (longer)
Also, matrix modifier (glide rate & skew) now work much better.

it's back! (phew)

Had a short play, still working out exactly how it operates, but seems to be working! Looking forward to having a proper play with this :)

Yes, this so called poly glide need some explanation of how it work ;)
when you reach the polyphony limit, the next and further notes will use the latest voice and glide to this note pitch.
for example, with a voice count of 3, if one press C then E then G : no glide
press A, G will glide to A.
release A : A glide to G
