[solved] PreenFM3 : No firmware in '/'

Hi, trying to upgrade from 0.98b to 0.101. Erased 0.98b files from SD card and replace them by 0.101 files but got the non firmware in '/' message displayed. pretty strange since I can still use my preenFM3 with 0.98b firmware, any idea ?

Hi,

You can still use the 098b firmware because it's flashed on the microcontroller and executed from there.
The firmwares on the SD card are only here to be  flashed, nothing is executed from the SD card.

Please confirm the firmware is in the root folder of the SD card, which is what '/' means.
Firmware must not be in the "/pfm3/" folder.

OK and what is its name ?
When you look directly on the SD card.

Did you see 0.98b when it was there ?

its name is pfm3_firmware_0_101.zip

the last firmware files were at the same place and also inside the pfm3 folder

I deleted both.

OK so extract the ZIP file and only put : "p3_0_101.bin" in the "/" folder.
Zip files cannot be flashed.

My bad I already did it but just noticed the pfm firmware folder on my crowded desktop ! thanks again Xavier !
