Feature request PFM3 : trigger note from PMF3
« on: July 29, 2022, 12:12:50 PM »
Hi there,

I don't know if it has already been asked but a feature I would find very usefull would be to trigger a note from the PFM3 unit without using an external controller.

The purpose of this feature is not playing the unit from the unit but more like a way to have a preview of a sound you're designing.
I own a Kawai XD5 that has a trigger button and I find it very helpfull when you're working on a sound.
In my opinion, it totally suits the portable design of this machine, for instance working on patches in a train with headphone and a compact battery would be awesome.  I would love to see that on the PFM3

There might be several possible solutions, here are some ideas:
- A button combinaison that will trigger a note for the active sound in MIX or EDIT mode. The triggered note could be define in the settings (MIX / Global).
- An option to input notes in the sequencer.
- An option to send notes using the new (and awesome!) midi controller app.

These are my 5 cents, thanks for this beautiful piece of gear.

Kind regards,
Joe

Hi,

Sorry for the slow response, i'm traveling until end of august.

You should be able to trigger Note by holding down the MENU button the press button 1 to 6.
You can adjust the midi note and the velocity in the settings.

You cannot enter notes from the preenfm in the sequencer.
I agree it would be nice.
