Sustainpedal as matrixsource and glide 0-1 as matrixdestination. Could you make them?
Thanks.

Toltekradiation, am I asking to much if I ask you to introduce a famous French invention, sostenuto, as a matrix source? I mean, that only those notes that were held when sustain pedal was activated, should sustain, not the later notes, despite that the sustain pedal is down. This effect could give us a chance to overlap sustained notes with the "dry" notes, like a guitarist who plays short licks over sustained, strummed notes.
When you are done with sostenuto, please make another matrix source - a pitch bend that affects only held notes, not sustained notes. That is how the steel guitar works.
Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!

Ok, but can this calculation be done outside of matrix? I only want to be able to play different patch as a result of noteD process, not by changing a program by external midicontroller.

I think I am only suggesting a midi channel/port conversion of matrix-processed notes. I hope that outgoing notes, converted and sent to port two are going to sound like a patch on that channel. It is internal routing between ch 1 and 2 but after your new matrix source rules.

Toltekradiation, if those new matrix sources give discreet articulative changes, some more pronounced articulations could demand many matrix slots. For this reason, could you, please , add a channel conversion toward Part two, channel nr. 2, as a matrix destination. With that we could, , after processing with those new matrix sources, rute notes to a completely different patch loaded on a Part 2. Thanks.

Toltekradiation, it is amazing how easy it is for you to expand this ecosystem. I am so jealous on your knowladge. Anyway, thank you for you efforts. If you want to understand my motivation to suggest this function, actv, I can only say that no FM synthesizer ever had articulation-properties as the real instruments have. Overlapping notes sound different on real instruments, depends how quickly overlapping happens and how many active notes there are. Some ideas can be seen in Tyros superarticulations and some in Advanced conditions in Kontakt addon Mind Controll from Orangetreesamples.

Toltekradiation, thank you for everything! If you are done with filters and still have some extra energy to work, could you then make:
1)a tracking generator for each slot in Modulation Matrix?
2)paraphonic properties in Preenfm2? A counter counts the number of held/active notes and this value changes something in a modmatrix output.
3)Or you could subtract notenumber of those held notes/the time difference between the held notes and use those values further in modmatrix outputs.
4)Or you could use the speed of incomming note on/cc events to change something in modmatrix output.

Toltekradiation, I am jealous on programmers ability to change an instrument from the ground up, the way they want. I have many artistic ideas but no programming skills. Could you, please, describe your "working enviroment", tools and software you used to change Peenfm2 the way you want. Thank you.

Toltekradiation, if tracking generator is a to big task now, but you still have some extra energy to work, why not implement 1)paraphonic properties in Preenfm2? It seems simple: a counter counts the number of held/active notes and this value changes something in a modmatrix output.
2)Or you could subtract incoming notes and use those values further in modmatrix outputs.
3)Or you could use the time difference between held notes to change something in modmatrix output.
4)Or you could measure the speed of incomming cc events to change something in modmatrix output.
There are so many unused, simple synthesis ticks we musician could use but are not available else in the world, waiting for a developer to implement.

Tracking generator, as implemented in Oberheim Matrix, Alesis Ion, Alesis Micron, Akai Miniak, called "table" in Alesis Fusion and "edir user curve" in Control assign in Yamaha Montage/Modx is a user defined respons on input in modulation matrix. In this case, instead of having one breakpoint and a few functions left and right form the break point, user could define whatever 8,16 or 32 points response curve, giving much more detailed response. On my Miniak I can distribute fm over the keyboard on many more ways than cust according to a few math curves. This function alone gives tremendous variety of flavours. It looks very simple, like an array of 8,16 or 32 places, each containg a user editable number in range from -127 to +127.

Hello, could you then make a tracking generator for each slot in Modulation Matrix?

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / fm electric piano and fm slap bass
« on: August 24, 2019, 10:40:35 AM »
hello,
can somebody make a short mp3 demo of Preenfm patches similar to dx electric piano and dx slap bass and post a link here or on youtube? I dont expect dx7 but I found no Preenfm demo on those typical and highly wanted fm patches. Just to hear what Preenfm is capable of in those areas. Thanks
