Here is one of the patch.

By the way, i realise by looking at the file that there is no file extension. Are those saved states usable only by the editor, or can i upload it to PreenFM2 USB key and load it on the unit just like i would with an DX7 sysex file for exemple?

thanks for having a look to it!

Hello Xavier and everybody,

I'm back to my PreenFM2 after a long hiatus with music.

I just spend a nice moment creating patches from scratch with the v2.08.4 editor (standalone on Mac OS X 10.11.6, with USB connection).
Here is my workflow : i create a patch, it's immediatly reflected on the PreenFM2 without problems, instead of saving on the PreenFM2, i save the patch on the computer with the editor option "Save current state". I then change a few paramaters, change the name and save a new state on the computer.

But when i'm try to load a few Saved State on the editor, they immediatly freeze the PreenFM2.
I always get this message on the unit :
PFM2 V2.08b
LR: 0x0807CC6D
PC: 0x008059B68
r0: 0x00000348

I just tried this with a MIDI connection with a Roland UM-one MkII interface, and i got the same result.

I guess i can transfer the saved states to USB key inside the unit, so my patches aren't lost.
But anyone got an idea about this bug?

Cheers!
Yan

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / Preenfm2/Bank editor little suggestion
« on: August 30, 2017, 11:37:54 AM »
Hello Xavier,

I have a suggestion for a little update : would it be possible to a shortcut on the PreenFM2 (or maybe in the bank editor only, if it's more simple) that would allow to modify the same parameter for ALL the operator at once? I don't think it's possible a the moment, if i'm not wrong.

I personnaly often tweak operator envelopes, especially the release rates to turn long release sounds to short ones. But doing the same manipulation to the 6 operators is sometimes a bit long (ok, i admit i could live with it  ;)).

Cheers,
Yan

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / Re: changing patches

Hi!

Just a word about the Program Changes messages, as I'm now preparing a live set including the PreenFM2.

I realized that my PreenFM2 had troubles to receive both MSB and LSB messages in one pass, and i have to stop the track and do a second CC send to have the correct patch loaded (i mainly use two different banks). The CC messages are sent by my Pyramid sequencer, but don't know if the problem is coming from the sequencer or the synth. Does anyone have the same problem?

It makes impossible to have a correct program change in the middle of a track, but i found a workaround : I created a third bank containing only the sounds I need for my live set, and renamed this bank to be sure it has the "0" number amongst all the banks contained in my PreenFM2.
Now i found that to load a sound from thi first bank, the PreenFM2 doesn't need to receive a MSB message. So the CC change work now with only sending the bank number (LSB) with CC#0 and the Program Change number.

If i need a combo, I will have to do the same for each of the 4 PreenFM2 instrument, with their own midi channel.
