Audio sometimes cuts out when changing patches (v 2.00)
« on: December 15, 2012, 02:17:39 AM »
Hi,
Sometimes when I switch patches, the audio will cut out to a nearly inaudible level.
99% of the time, I can resolve the issue by unplugging the audio out and re-inserting the cable.
Any idea what might be causing this? Has anyone else encountered it?

Thanks.

Hi,

No i've never heard about such a problem. That's strange.
Could you try to double check the solder points near the capacitor of the output stage ?
(see jpg attached - don't forget the ground of the volume pot)

What audio interface do you use ?
Maybe the PreenFM send a loud signal at some point and your audio interface protect itself by turning down the volume...

I had similar issues (the sound faded out on start up) and resoldered some joints to resolve it. Just double check the soldering and resolder and you should be okay.
