Velocity not polyphonic?

I'm starting to dive into programming FM sounds  on the freshly assembled Preen. (Smooth build btw. excellent! 

I have noticed that to modulate the IM amount via velocity you'd have to use the matrix. It works OK, but the velocity of the last key pressed also changes the mod amount of the notes already ringing.
Could this parameter be made polyphonic so that each note continues to ring with the velocity amount it was started with?

Yes the IM is common to all voices of a same timbre.
I agree it's not ideal when you modulate it by the velocity.
