Left output not working
« on: October 26, 2016, 09:53:37 PM »
Right output works great. I checked the soldering on the jacks and they looked ok. Read the forums, saw that a couple of people made errors soldering the DAC section which resulted in output issues. In one pic I observed, it appears that DAC solder points are located under the OLED screen, is that correct? Do you know of any specific points to check for the left output? Thank you!

When I power the unit on I can hear it a small audio "pop" but after that silence.

BTW this synth is really cool! I like it a lot! :)

If one of the output works, that should not be to hard to have the other one ;)

Double check soldering points around the 2 x 22uF electrolityc capacitors and the 6 points of the volume pot.
Then the op amp and all the capacitor and resistors around it are also part of the audio path.

You can read this thread :

You'll get info about the audio path and what soldering to check.

Let me know if you find something...

Thanks for the quick reply! I touched up the resisters in the audio path and now I have audio on both outputs.  :)
Everything seems to be running fine but I did get some weird voltage readings so I thought I'd check with you to make sure it's ok to run the unit like this.  ???

Voltage regulator and contacts at bottom corner of board read 4.96v
resistors both read 1.161v

DAC 2
pin 11: 1.092v
pin 12: ground
pin 13: 1.092v
pin 14: .832v

DAC 1
pin 11: 1.092v
pin 12: ground
pin 13: 1.092v
pin 14: .804

Preen pin 1: 3.29v
IC1 pin 16: 3.29v
