Newbie Help Please

Hi.. I have just got hold of a PreenFM 2 Eurorack module and am in desperate need of a complete idiots guide to this module. I have read the Standalone Preen manual but am struggling to actually understand how the Cv inputs and outputs are configured in the eurorack version.
Any help would be most appreciated to get my head around this intriguing piece of kit.

Hi,
I don't know much about Eurorack.

But i think the preenfm2 eurorack CV in are quite standard :
. CV1 / gate : triggers a new note
. CV2 / VOct : Vote per octavle. That can be callibrated in the Settings.
. CV3 and CV4 : are any CV in modulator that can be used as source in the matrix modulation.

Make sure you have a CV enabled firmare.
You should have "_cv" sufix in the title when booting it up.
And CV1-4 in the first matrix sources.

Thanks… I have tried adjusting settings but the choices don’t have any explanations of what each choice does. I have the cv firmware installed. I will have another go to see if I can get my head around it. 😎

Hi... I get sound when using keyboard and can effect this by inserting CV sources BUT with the Midi unplugged I get absolutely nothing ! I can't trigger sound using gate and V/Oct source.
Any ideas would be most welcome.

What CV source do you use for pfm2 CV gate ?
Have you checked the voltage it sends ?

You can adjust the Gate threshold if the CV is too low to trigger a note on the preen.
The preenfm compare the CV voltage it receives to the threshold, so if the voltage is too low nothin happens.
