your web-ui looks nice. I'm updating the firmware later today to try out the new FX2 updates

Toltekradiation: I think I had mistakenly deleted the final line
2/1
because I was experiencing a different issue where the preen was repeating the notes when hitting the next octave.
When I look at your scala.zip flie, I see your reg_22 TET Porcupine[7] 3 3 3 4 3 3 3.scl file has 2/1 at the end. I will try again with the correct file and see what happens.

I also see this 22-TET porcupine[7] file in another folder of scala files:

! 22-TET Porcupine[7] 3 3 3 4 3 3 3
Porcupine[7] generated inside 22-TET

Wouldn't this also incorrectly repeat the octaves?? There seem to be a lot of weird issues with people not understanding the file format (including myself obviously)

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / Good resource for presets?
« Last post by Jdom on April 17, 2026, 09:24:16 PM »
I thought I found some. But now I cannot. I like having a bunch of cool presets to start with. Any one knows a good place to download some for my preenfm3?

Hi all, I know this forum is not super active (and neither am I), but I just wanted to drop a note that the news of PreenFM being discontinued inspired me to submit something made with the PreenFM3 to weekly beats. If you're interested, find it here: https://weeklybeats.com/wahsp/music/supreen

This is nice mate

Hi,
in your file the number of notes is defined to 7, but you have only 6 values below it.

You can find many working scala files in the attached archive.

Hi all,
I'd really love this bug to get fixed, but I don't feel confident enough to fix it myself.
I made Chatgpt do some vibe coding... does this help any of the elder FM2/FM3 developers?

preenfm2 and preenfm3 / Preenfm3 Fx2 : some rework
« Last post by Toltekradiation on April 11, 2026, 03:48:30 PM »
Hi,

modiying the preenfm3 firmware for the web-ui compatibility did lead to some rework on the fx2 area :

Stereo bandpass : now 3 poles
Diffuser : more diffusion to cancel some metallic artifacts
Flanger : less aliasing, sounds softer
Dim fx : expanded stereo, sounds a bit more organic
Bode fx : a little bit of saturation
Grains : softer modulation

i did a release on my github account as it's a better way to keep tracks of things :
https://github.com/pvig/preenfm3/releases/tag/v1.06

Some update for the web editor :

- Added a component (Genetic Patch Breeder) to replace the patch interpolator :

Two parent slots — load a patch from file or pull from hardware
Genetic crossover — 6 DNA blocks (ALGO, OSC, ENV, MATRIX, FILTER1, FILTER2), each inherited from one parent
Generates 4 children — each child shows block provenance; per-child actions: Listen (MIDI preview), promote to Parent A/B, Load into editor, Save as .patch

- Also added a Slot component which can store 4 patches in memory, useful as temporary buffer when playing with patch mutation

- Added a spectrogram to display the audio input spectrum in real time

- Added some visual goodies, just for fun : splash screen, starfield as background (can be disabled by menu)

did some tests with the Preenfm2 : it seems to work well
