Are you talking about the menu to create random patches?

I posted mine somewhere in the forum, other members did.
But I'm so glad to see your results! You are not using any shielding like it's mentioned in this topic?

Damn, I knew something was wrong.
I edited the original post.

Hi Xavier, it's really as simple as what you can see on the picture attached. One master keyboard feeding PreenFM2 and Ambika, few pedals (delay and vibrato) and a Roland JD-Xi which is not on the picture, used only as a vocoder.

I'm combining both synths sounds most of the time it's quite lovely.

Hope this doesn't look more like a show-off than a share, but yesterday I played at the Olympia in Paris, and this was my setup <3
I was so happy to finally perform with those home made synths that I had at home for years but were most of the time turned down for concerts in the favor of a computer!

Update: link to the picture

Brilliant!

That looks like a ready-made shield to avoid the OLED high frequency parasite problem.
You can read about it here.

If you are monitoring through a DAW you may use an EQ around 15.5 kHz with a really narrow bandwidth, that will work and should be quite discreet.

Just for your information: there are pin headers on the PCB to chose how you want your PreenFM2 to be powered.
It's documented in the building manual, maybe that's not the issue but you may check about those jumpers if you feel like it because they give you the possibility to cut the power supply from one source or the other if I remember correctly.

Hi there, I believe I was referring to the same issue here.
In my case I notice it mainly when I'm working on "soft" sounds, not with strong FM. Is it the same for you?

Even better!

Yeah the previous version would not open, it had this "do not park here" sign in transparent grey on top of the icon, and when trying to open I would get the message "You can’t use this version of the application “pfm2Editor” with this version of OS X. You have OS X 10.10.5. The application requires OS X 10.11 or later."

The one you just gave works great on Yosemite.

But I wasn't too shocked, I have another synth (Roland JD-Xi) that got a user-made editor and the developer told me that architecture was really too different to make it work on Yosemite so it's been some time I assumed I would have to move on.

I was thinking to upgrade from Yosemite to Sierra and now I'm almost sure I should :)
It's really lovely to come up with so many updates on the PreenFM2 Xavier, it's constantly evolving.

Ho this is great!
Do you have any sound samples also?
I'll look into it, thanks a lot for sharing :)

Hey, just to let you know that I do have the same issue, though I wouldn't call it distortion at first, I think it's the same thing. I believe it's not exactly the same on the Left and Right output.
But yeah it's been a bummer for me sometimes, when trying to achieve smoother sounds.
I built several PreenFMs for various people and I believe there always was an issue like this, by that I mean, I don't know if it's possible to create a true pure sine.

I'll check Xavier's tip though :)
