preenfm2 and preenfm3 / PFM3 not booting unless I press reset button on bottom of PCB

I recently updated to VOSIM 3 and my PFM3 is not booting unless I press reset button on bottom of PCB.


It may not be VOSIM that is causing this issue. It seemed to be fine after the update, but this not booting thing seems to be happening today.

Any thing I should try out to narrow down the issue?


I'm powering over USB and its the USB power source I always use.
[edit] I used an external power supply also and had exactly the same issue.

Got my PreenFM2 last year and I've been putting it to good use.  Here's my minimal techno EP where it's used on every track to some extent.

Hi there,

I'm trying to figure out how I can have my preenfm3 start up with a mixer page that I save, so that it is only responding to midi channel 1 (for example).
Here's what I'm trying to accomplish:
I use the preen with my Hapax sequencer, but whenever I change to my instrument that is on midi channel 2, the preen plays the instrument on midi channel 2.
I can change this manually in the mixer page, but I'd like to have it start up with a mixer page by default that only uses one midi channel.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to save the mixer settings to do this. The documentation doesn't seem to mention this, and I can't really figure out how the mixer settings I save in the menu page effect the init mixers settings that are there when I turn on the preen.
Does this make sense?

If you play a note-on with the pitch bend lever already moved, the pitch will sound at the center position. The pitch will change only after the lever has passed through the center position.

then what if you play a new note while movig the pitch bend ? should previous note be reset to its original pitch ?
I don't think it can work properly, that's why mpe came to solve that issue...

no, that thread is about receiving mpe information, not emitting.
Midipal dispatcher is not mean to do it.

it sounds like you want a mpe controller implementation, which is out of the scope of the midipal :/

Could you make a mode where only the last dispatched channel transmits Pitch Bend? To emulate realistic string-bending.
